Feed Your Kids

As an BzzAgent, I get to try out some pretty great products.  Recently, I was offered the opportunity to try out the new kid’s meals from Publix.  I happen to love Publix, so this was perfect for me.   The meals come in 5 different varieties:

  • Chicken tenders — Chicken tenders on a honey wheat roll, mini carrots, kid’s yogurt and fruit drink.
  • Ham sandwich thins — Ham on a wheat sandwich thin, mini carrots, kid’s yogurt and apple juice.
  • Peanut butter apple wrap — Peanut butter with apples in a multigrain wrap, string cheese, mini carrots, kid’s yogurt and fruit drink.
  • Peanut butter rolls — Peanut butter on a honey wheat roll, string cheese, apple sauce, mini carrots and fruit drink.
  • Turkey rolls — Roasted turkey breast on a honey wheat roll, apple and grape packet, mini raisins and organic white milk.

At first they looked a little pricey at $3.99 each.  But after seeing and tasting the meals I feel like they are a great alternative to the popular Lunchables out on the market.  They are fresh (made daily) and super healthy(they are created by a registered dietitian).  I wouldn’t buy them for my child for lunch everyday, but when you need a healthy packed meal they are perfect.  We picked up the Peanut butter apple wrap for my daughter to take to the lake a few weeks ago.  She doesn’t like sub sandwiches, and that was what the rest of the group was getting at Publix that day.  She loved it!  I couldn’t have picked a better lunch for her – in fact, I was kind of wishing that I would have got myself one too!  Have you tried them?
