Braves Offer Prostate Cancer Survivors Free Admission

This Father’s Day at Turner Field, the Atlanta Braves will host a celebration of survivorship honoring men who have courageously battled prostate cancer.
Prostate Cancer Awareness Day presented by Piedmont Healthcare will include a special pre-game event for survivors, their families and friends, featuring Atlanta’s favorite consumer advocate and prostate cancer survivor Clark Howard as the keynote speaker. Prostate cancer survivors and community activists that have made exceptional contributions to the fight against prostate cancer will also be honored. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Prostate Cancer Foundation.

“At Piedmont Healthcare, we are dedicated to turning the big C, into the little c, and showing our patients that cancer is not bigger than them,” said John Goodman, administrative director of oncology services at the Piedmont Cancer Center. “Thanks to our 30-year partnership with the Atlanta Braves, we are able to raise awareness of prostate cancer throughout our community.”

Prostate Cancer Survivors will receive a free game ticket, t-shirt and the opportunity to participate in a special on-field ceremony before the game. Family and friends of survivors can purchase tickets for $12. Register for Prostate Cancer Awareness Day today at braves.com/pcawareness.
