In a Jiffy! Giveaway!
**Contest is closed…congrats to Melody (lucky #7)****
My husband has been working hard keeping my older Volvo running smooth. It has been very time consuming the last few weeks. We really love the car and want to keep it running smooth…and avoid a new car payment too. I get such a good feeling driving a paid off car. I guess I am in the norm now (it wasn’t always this way), the average age of cars on the road has reached 9.4. Wow! Did you know that there are key things that you can do to ensure that your car last longer? Check out the site Motor Oil Matters for lots of great tips and helpful information. You can even take a quiz to see how much you know about car maintenance. I took it…and apparently do not know much. But I am learning!
So, in order to give my hubbie a little car maintenance break…I took my car to Jiffy Lube for our latest oil change. They were fast and very reasonably priced…and my husband was more than pleased! Having the oil changed in your car is one of the best ways to prolong the life of your vehicle. How do I know this information? I visited Motor Oil Matters!
Matters.org and Shell Lubricants provided you with the gift card and information through MyBlogSpark
So..lets have a giveaway! I want to give one reader a $35 giftcard to Jiffy lube…so you can keep your car running in tip top shape! To enter, comment on this post. Let me know how old your car is & who changes your oil. I will pick a winner on Friday the 14th by random number generator…and notify the winner via email. Good Luck!
Disclosure: Shell Motor Oil and MotorOilMatters.org through MyBlogSpark provided me with a Jiffy Lube gift card, as well as the gift card for this prize. The opinions shared are my own.

I drove my Subaru for 10+ years always getting the oil changed on time. It ran like a top, now I wish I still had it for my 16 year old son! Now I drive a 2004 Dodge Durango and love love love it. I always get my oil changed by the local guys in town but have no problem going to Jiffy Lube as I took the Super Subbie there many times.

My Toyota Camry is 11 years old now. I love my baby girl! She still runs great but I have regular maintenance by one of the local shops here. If I am in Atlanta and need something my brother-in-law does it since he is a mechanic.

I have a 2002 Mazda Tribute. I like my hubs to take it locally to get changed. He is really good about it. Every once in a while I take it. They like to ask me too many questions. They show me all these different filters that need to be changed. I never know if I should do it or not. Funny how they never ask DH any of these questions!:)

My car had its 8th birthday this April and is running fine. It uses synthetic oil so it needs changing much less frequently than regular oil. I will be taking it to the local auto shop for the next oil change because they mailed me a $15 off coupon after they changed a tire for me. After that, if I see a Jiffy Lube special, I’ll try them because there’s one close to where I live. But, I needed my regular dealer service last month so I let them change the oil.
