With April coming to a close I want to make sure that you have given thought to Autism Awareness Month. I know we all know somebody who is affected by Autism. Parents of autistic children are Saints in my book. In fact, I think they should have their own “month” to be celebrated and recognized. Not only are they living with it everyday, they are working together to find a cure. These parents are very unique in their fund raising efforts. First Giving is a site that helps people raise money online for charity. I found a great page that is raising money for a little boy named Mike. They are having a charity walk for him. The page is very detailed with great information about Mike, his progress, and how much money they have raised so far. The site is amazing! I could spend hours looking over the pages of charities and the faces behind them. If you are looking to help someone raise money to figth autism and don’t know exactly how to help…visit First Giving and you will find the perfect place. If you have your own charity…First Giving is the place to get it all organized and promote your special concern. Just remember…April is almost over….help Autism Awareness Month 2008 be the best one ever!
Don’t forget…April is Autism Awareness Month! April 28, 2008
Yay..the week is getting even better! April 28, 2008
I came home from work today and my free subscription to Hallmark Magazine had arrived! I have never read this magazine before and I assumed it would be one giant advertisement for Hallmark…not the case! It has crafts, recipes, articles, stories, and more. I was impressed! Remember to go for the free subscriptions when I post them on freebie day…they have really been coming through. I know many of the freebies we never see…but you never know :) It is a great way to try out magazines that you never would have paid for.
Exciting week ahead! April 28, 2008
I am so psyched about this week. The girls and I pooled our money together an bought a Wii! It should come this week :) I can’t wait to play this with them…I am also excited for Mike to try it…he is the only one of us that has yet to try the Wii. I think he will be very surprised at how much of a workout it is. How funny will it be when he wakes up extremely sore after the first day of Wii play?
