Dreaming of a little bling… March 17, 2008

Filed under: shopping — katyshops @ 3:33 pm

I was reading my cousin’s post about friends on her blog staceystories today and for some strange reason it got me humming the song “diamonds are a girls best friend”. Now don’t get me wrong…I totally agree that friends are so important to have…but I can’t stop humming that song!! So then I went to a platinum diamond wedding bands site to look at beautiful rings. Kind of like window shopping…only it is wishing shopping. I found the most amazing photos of beautiful rings at Firenze Jewels! I have many friends who have updated their wedding sets recently. I think it is a cool idea! Styles change…rings too. Some of my friends simply reset their existing diamonds in a new set, others trade up for a mac daddy diamond. Have you changed your setting? Do you know people who have? If so, how do you feel about it? Seriously, look at how pretty this is:

If you do decide to buy diamonds make sure that you do it through a good source. While shopping Firenze Jewels I noticed that they are a leader in the industry. That’s probably why there web site is so beautiful! They have been in business since 1937 and their owner is a big-wig in the Diamond District in New York. So go window shopping today while sitting at your computer. Daydream about your perfect wedding set, or maybe you just want to get some sparkly earrings to give yourself a mid-winter pick me up! Have fun and create your own wishlist…it can’t hurt to look :)

I’ve thought about this (especially since my MIL works for Helzberg Diamonds) BUT….there is something about the set that he picked out just for me!! I don’t think I could change it. Now….he’s more than welcome to buy me any rings he wishes but I think I’ll keep my wedding set just as it is…..I’m just sentimental like that I guess! :-)

I like how you think Angela…don’t change it…just add more!!

I did an upgrade of my engagement ring this past year. My old band was too small, so rather than stretch it, I went for more sparkle (but kept my original main diamond). It was sort of a present to myself after 12+ years.
