Dreaming of a little bling… March 17, 2008

I was reading my cousin’s post about friends on her blog staceystories today and for some strange reason it got me humming the song “diamonds are a girls best friend”. Now don’t get me wrong…I totally agree that friends are so important to have…but I can’t stop humming that song!! So then I went to a platinum diamond wedding bands site to look at beautiful rings. Kind of like window shopping…only it is wishing shopping. I found the most amazing photos of beautiful rings at Firenze Jewels! I have many friends who have updated their wedding sets recently. I think it is a cool idea! Styles change…rings too. Some of my friends simply reset their existing diamonds in a new set, others trade up for a mac daddy diamond. Have you changed your setting? Our Soda Shop March 17, 2008

A while back I was sent a Fountain Jet soda maker from Soda Club. I gotta tell you, my family loves this contraption! It comes with a sleek looking machine that adds the fizz to your water. The machine is about the size of my coffee maker. It was really easy to put together to use the for the first time. We fill the bottles that are provided with plain old tap water, screw them into the Fountain Jet, push the button a few times to add fizz, and then choose what kind of soda pop we want to make. There are over 25 great tasting flavors available to choose from. Each Soda Mix bottle will make 12 Liters of fresh soda. This equals out to about 33 cents per liter! They have regular flavors, diet flavors, flavors to create sparkling water, fruit flavors, and many more. The whole process is super easy…Riley loves having her friends over and making a few flavors of soda. Her favorite flavor is the Creme Soda. I like the Diet Cola and the Orange Sparkling Water. It is really neat to hear her explain to her friends that this is how soda is made. Here are just some of the benefits to owning your own Soda maker:

• You will always have fresh fizzy soda available. We tend to let 2 liter bottles from the grocery store go flat. With the Fountain Jet we are only making 1 liter bottles.
• It is super good for the environment! You reuse the liter bottles…nothing to throw away.
